Fleetwood Mac originally formed in the United Kingdom in 1967 and has been able to adjust their music style to fit in with what is currently popular in music. The group initially started out with more of a blues sound and was immediately popular. In the mid-1970s, the group saw a boom in popularity when Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks joined the group. When the then-couple joined the group, their sound went from blues to more popular rock and their record sales jumped. One of the most popular albums in the history of music was their 1977 release, Rumours.
The album sold more than 45 million copies around the world, making it one of the best selling album of all time. Off the album were some of their most popular singles including “Dreams,” “Don’t Stop,” “You make Loving Fun,” and “Go On Your Way.” Over their time together, they have released 69 singles, many of which are songs that their fans will be hoping to see them perform live on the “On With the Show” tour.
Fleetwood Mac has taken several breaks over the years and has seen numerous artists come and go as members of the group. The most popular version of the group will be the one that fans will be able to see live beginning in the fall. Among the venues that the group will travel to include the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.; Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, XL Center in Hartford, Conn.; Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y.; Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
