The 2014 Ryder Cup arrives at Gleneagles this September, with team Europe hoping to retain the cup from team USA.

The event will attract more than 250,000 spectators and will be supported by around 7,000 employed staff, marshals, volunteers, emergency service personnel and media representatives each day.

With a volunteer workforce of over 1800 and only a small administration team including some volunteers, a volunteer management software solution was required to simplify the management process and help ensure volunteer engagement from selection to deployment.

They can see the role they have been assigned and update their personal details, including uniform sizes and ID photos.

A volunteer forum, a new feature from Get Scheduled, has been used for the first time, providing the volunteers with a place to discuss important topics and forge friendships before the event.
