Attorney Scott Wantland Awarded Kentucky State CASA 2014 Guardian Ad Litem of the Year Award.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA is a private, nonprofit organization that recruits, trains and supports court approved community volunteers, to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children that are in the court system, seeking to assure safe, permanent families for them as quickly as possible.

The Kentucky State CASA Conference was held on March 14, 2014 at the University of Louisville Shelby Campus. The conference was a day of various workshops providing educational components for continued advocacy geared towards volunteers and staff. State CASA presented Scott Wantland the award for a CASA “Guardian Ad Litem of the Year.”
