The journey to Monterey & Carmel is one that will surely leave anyone 'California Dreamin.’

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2014

Beginning on May 2, Tower Tours will be offering the full-day Monterey and Carmel tour four times a week, with daily departures at 9:00am on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Nothing says “California” more than enjoying the sunshine and catching spectacular views of the ocean. Guests that book with Tower Tours can leave the driving to an experienced guide on a scenic tour via the California “Rugged Coast” - also known as Highway 1- to Monterey and Carmel. On this journey, guests will encounter stunning photo opportunities along the historic 17 Mile Scenic Drive and Pebble Beach Golf Course where the famed Lone Cypress resides.

Guests can immerse themselves in a bit of California history at two of the extended stops in Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf/Cannery Row and enjoy dining and shopping opportunities in the quaint seaside town of Carmel.

During the 1.5-2 hour time spent in Monterey, guests have the option of purchasing a Monterey Bay Aquarium ticket ahead of time at a discounted rate which also enables them to skip the lines! This famous aquarium was founded in 1984 and is located on the site of a former sardine cannery on Cannery Row of the Pacific Ocean shoreline. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is world-renown with an annual audience of 1.8 million visitors. One of the newest exhibits, open as of April 12th, is “Tentacles: The Astounding Lives of Octopuses, Squid and Cuddlefishes”. Other exhibits feature otters, jellyfish, penguins and much more. What also makes this aquarium visit convenient are the dining options: either the Cafe, Coffee Bar or Cindy’s Waterfront, a full service restaurant.

Next is a trip to Carmel: a European-style village rated as a top-10 destination in the United States. Priding themselves on having no chain restaurants, Carmel features a full range of eateries and dining establishments. In addition to great dining, visitors can enjoy galleries, shops and much more.

“We took a tour to Monterey and Carmel and had a fantastic time. I had been there a few times before but learned a few more things because Larry, our Tour Director was so knowledgable and he also has a great sense of humor. There was never a dull moment. Hope to take this tour again in the future.” - Mari94133 TripAdvisor Review
