Netop Grant Program Makes it Easier for Schools to Fill the "GAP" and Purchase Tools for Blended Learning
Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- To help schools stretch their technology dollars as far as possible, Netop today announced its 2014 GAP grant program. Funded by Netop, the world leader in classroom management software, this year's grant program will provide $50,000 in funding to make it more affordable for schools and districts to access tools for blended learning.
The application period is now open to apply for and receive grants of $1,000 and more to provide educators with easier access to Vision and Vision Pro classroom management software. Now in its fourth year, Netop’s GAP grant program continues the tradition of putting the technology tools that educators need within reach.
"Technology is at the very core of today’s most innovative – and successful – instructional practices, such as blended learning and flipped classrooms,” said Kurt Bager, CEO, Netop. "Our 2014 grant program exemplifies our commitment to ensuring that all teachers have access to the tools they need to leverage the power of the devices their students are using to improve achievement."
Designed to support PCs, iPads, and smart devices, Netop Vision Pro provides educators with best-in-class performance for digital learning environments. Developed to support teaching with tablets, BYOD environments, and flipped classrooms, Vision Pro features cloud-based testing and assessment software. In addition, high-speed screen sharing functionality allows teachers to share videos and graphic-intensive applications quickly and efficiently.
Schools can also use the grant funds to support the purchase of Netop Vision, the world's most popular classroom management software. Vision gives teachers complete control over classroom computers from an easy-to-use console that shows each student computer screen. Using Vision, they can monitor student progress, engage students with on-screen demonstrations, control web browsing and guide student learning.
Grant applications are limited to accredited schools in the United States and Canada, and will be accepted until Aug. 1, 2014. To apply or get more information, visit http://www.netop.com/NGAGE.
