On April 3, 2014, BERT, the owner and developer of the Bert® Wi Fi Plug Load Management System, filed a complaint against BOSS CONTROLS, LLC alleging infringement of BERT’s U.S. Patent No. 8,093,751. The complaint seeks damages for alleged past infringement and a permanent injunction from BOSS CONTROLS.

BERT, a leading supplier of Wi Fi Plug Load Management Systems, filed a complaint in the United States District Court, Eastern District of PA, against BOSS CONTROLS, LLC alleging infringement of BERT’s U.S. Patent No. 8,093,751. The BERT patent for "a method and system for controlling power to an electrically powered device" was issued on January 10, 2012. The complaint seeks damages for alleged past infringement and a permanent injunction from BOSS CONTROLS. According to its web site, BOSS CONTROLS, designs, markets and sells innovative Wi Fi product solutions in the Energy Management sector.
