Foley, Ala. (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- In a world where no one seems to agree about anything, one thing is clear to all: something needs to change if our society is to advance instead of regress.
“Borderline Hero” dramatizes the self-inflicted pitfalls of life in a more socially regimented society. The story examines the contentious issues of immigration, abortion and others, and provides a glimpse of what life could be like if these causes become victims of extremism.
Readers will follow protagonist Curtis Moultrie, a teenage Texan who loves his family but questions the traditions and values he grew up with as well as the latest laws enacted in the dystopian Republic of Texas, which has seceded from the United States.
Author Kenneth Konecnik hopes readers will be encouraged to assess current trends in government and society, and begin to evaluate the impact of possible repercussions they might have.
“It isn’t vampires, zombies, aliens or foreign invaders that could bring about our downfall,” Konecnik said. “It could easily be ourselves.”
