Millennial Choirs & Orchestras Join With Glenn Beck in Patriotic Performance
Mesa, Arizona (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- Millennial Choirs & Orchestras (MCO), a choral and orchestra group with more than 2,600 singers and instrumentalists, including children, teenagers, and adults, has joined with Glenn Beck to premiere the musical tribute to God and country, TO BE AMERICAN. Featuring both original music and American classics composed and arranged by Brett Stewart, and a narrative by American raconteur Glenn Beck, the production is a tribute to our faithful Founding Fathers, to Old Glory, to the U.S. Armed Forces, to Americans past and present, and to God.
“All of us in the MCO family have developed a fondness and passion for the music we will be performing at this concert. The message of God and country, the themes of pilgrimage, revolution, freedom, and patriotism - all are resounding deep in the souls of MCO's musicians and performers right now," said Brandon Stewart, one of the organization’s founding directors. “This is exactly what America needs today: a spiritual reminder of who we are as Americans, why our country is so unique and blessed, and what our responsibilities are to keep it sustained as ‘one nation under God.’ This concert will hands down be my favorite MCO performance to date.”
MCO’s combined choral groups and orchestras have released two albums in the last two years, Messiah in America, an original oratorio and O Holy Night, the group’s first Christmas album. Both CDs debuted at the top of the Billboard traditional classical music charts. The group anticipates release of its next album, To Be American, in July 2014.
Brothers Brandon and Brett Stewart first founded MCO in Orange County in 2007(OCMCO) and then launched in the Phoenix metropolitan area’s East Valley in 2009 (EVMCO). In 2013, new locales opened in the Utah Valley (UVMCO) and Dallas (DMCO.) MCO has grown to more than 2,600 performers including children and youth choirs, an adult choir and a full symphony orchestra in the four locations.
The concerts will be held on April 11th and 12th at Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, AZ; on April 26th at Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, TX; on May 29th at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, UT; and on May 31st at Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, CA. Glenn Beck’s narration of the concerts will be live in Arizona and Texas, and provided as a recording for California and Utah.
