Tariq Drabu Welcomes Improvements by DCS in Resolving Private Dental Complaints

Tariq Drabu said, “It is welcome news that the Dental Complaints Service (DCS) are managing to resolve private dental complaints within a few days. This is such an improvement over past years and it shows that they are trying to work to improve their service to patients. There is a lot of work that goes into handling a patient complaint, a lot of time, research and energy, which is why it is such good news that these complaints are being handled in such a fast and effective manner.”
Tariq Drabu, at his office in Manchester, went on to say, “As a dentist and oral surgeon that provides both NHS and private treatments, it is good to know that any complaints are being handled so quickly. Patients have a twelve-month window in which to make their complaint, which is ample time to notice there may be a problem. Up to now, patients could wait weeks, if not months, before their complaint was dealt with. It shows that the DCS is taking these complaints seriously and getting involved to ensure the highest level of patient care throughout the United Kingdom. I think it is very important that our patients have someone to turn to when they feel they are not being treated fairly or have received poor treatment. Often, they are uncomfortable approaching the dentist directly, I believe this is a sign of good things to come.”
Tariq Drabu closed in saying, “Taking my own practice into consideration, the entire team is dedicated to our patients and ensuring they receive the highest level of care and are comfortable and relaxed. All dentists out there want to provide their patients with the best level of care, there are times when patients feel this is not the treatment received. I think having the DCS dealing with complaints in such a fast and effective manner ensures the complaints procedures is less taxing and stressful, for both the patient and the dental practitioner.”
