Wayne County School System Launches Awareness and Recruitment Campaign; Addresses College Prep, Leadership, Educational Environment and More
Romulus, MI (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 -- The award-winning Romulus Community Schools is opening its doors to the public, all six schools within the district, on Thursday, April 10 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. for a meet and greet with administrators and teachers, technology demonstrations, program overviews, a discussion on special educational opportunities and more. The school system is part of the prestigious North Central Association Accreditation.
“We offer so many educational and community involvement opportunities to students and parents alike, such as our outstanding culinary arts program, 21st Century classrooms with advanced technology, MASB award winning summer programs, the Parent Connect portal and so much more,” said Marjie McAnally, Romulus Community Schools interim superintendent.
Romulus Community Elementary Schools which includes, Barth Elementary, Halecreek Elementary, Romulus Elementary, and Wick Elementary is recognized as a Top 5% Reward School with a focus on skills require in today’s competitive world. Parents and community members will learn about integrated technology within classrooms, child care and latch key programs, extended day and enrichment opportunities, positive behavior and character education; STEM focused learning options and much more.
Romulus Middle School was a recipient of a $5.4 million Improvement Grant and offers Michigan Department of Education Endorsed Curriculum. Visitors will find out about the award-winning band program, national junior high society, advanced and accelerated learning classes, student leadership programs and the at risk programs.
Romulus High School provides an environment for students to excel in the pursuit of college and any degree and is known for having the only Early College and Dual Enrollment program in Wayne County. The high school offers computer labs and a technology oriented media center, modern facilities offering physical fitness and swimming, an outstanding music, art and drama program, ACT academic support, a highly successful and competitive athletics programs and a full service restaurant through the culinary arts program.
