eSchoolPLUS Teacher Access Center Named SIIA Education CODiE Finalist for Best Classroom Management Solution
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- SunGard K-12 Education today announced that eSchoolPLUS Teacher Access Center was named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA Education CODiE Awards for Best Classroom Management Solution. The SIIA CODiE Awards, which are one of the premier awards for the software and information industries, have been recognizing product excellence for 29 years. The awards have more than 75 categories and are organized by industry focus of Content, Education, and Software.
This year’s program features 31 Education categories, several of which are new or updated to reflect the latest industry trends and business models. Winners will be announced during a special awards dinner on Tuesday, May 13, at the Education Industry Summit, which is an education technology conference being held in San Francisco, Calif.
Teacher Access Center, the heart of the classroom management system in eSchoolPLUS, allows teachers to quickly access information and processes they need and helps them communicate efficiently with parents and school administrators. The software’s standard-based gradebook is easily customizable and provides tools for rapidly adding new assignments, entering scores, and extracting grades. It puts tools at teachers’ fingertips that help boost their success with implementing a standards-aligned curriculum, such as the Common Core State Standards.
Joel Hames, SunGard K-12 Education’s director of product management, says that SunGard K-12 Education is honored by this prestigious recognition.
“We share this honor with our customers nationwide. Because we’ve closely listened to them and diligently worked to address their needs, our software features the robust functionality that is essential for 21st-century schools,” says Hames, noting that these features will serve as a springboard for future advances. “eSchoolPLUS Teacher Access Center is very forward-thinking in its structure, which will allow us to launch into other initiatives that we see emerging in K-12 education.”
Karen Billings, vice president of the SIIA Education Division is looking forward to honoring the finalists at the Education Summit. “This year’s finalists are breaking ground with new business models and innovative products,” she says. “We are pleased to recognize the best in educational technology with these 119 products.” Details about each finalist are listed at http://siia.net/codies/2014/finalists.asp.
