A3 Modeling unifies CPM processes including revenue and product forecasting, expense budgeting, detailed workforce and compensation planning, enterprise consolidations, operations analysis and KPI dashboards. The new version includes several important enhancements to accelerate deployment, reduce total cost of ownership (TCO), and increase security and usability.
A3 Modeling 2014 increases efficiency and automation:
Multi-tenant architecture: In addition to on-premise and private cloud deployment options, A3 Modeling is now available in a multi-tenant cloud configuration. This option reduces deployment time from weeks to days or even hours and can eliminate most or even all technical overhead cost.
Operational Support: The cloud option encourages intimate collaboration between vendor and client. A3 customers who are otherwise resource constrained can “outsource” routine monthly tasks to A3 at surprisingly low rates.
ETL Automation: Enhanced ETL support enables secure automation of bulk data import and export and supports all well-known ETL tools.
New Cube Builder (beta code name: Sassy): Users can now directly manipulate their cubes in the familiar environment of Excel.
Usability, Flexibility and Security
Flexibility: new dashboard layout, grid type, and cosmetic controls enables users to set up their working space in a way that works best for each individual user.
Flexible drill-throughs: support for relational data integration and reporting, including enhanced line item detail and GL drill-through.
Ease of use: A3 Modeling 2014 includes support for the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Chrome, Microsoft Office 2007, 2010, and 2013, SQL Server 2008 and 2012, and adds ad hoc Excel automation to the dashboard.
Model Designer: Several additional features from the authoring studio are now exposed in the Excel Model Designer allowing customers to quickly design more sophisticated models and reports.
Security: A3 has also made this release more secure with robust security policy support, automated processes for creating and registering users, and new ad hoc features.
