Social Solutions Global, Inc. Launches Corporate Volunteer Effort, “Volunteer Impact Program”
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- Social Solutions Global, Inc., a Baltimore-based software firm providing industry-leading performance management tools to more than 16,000 human service providers, today announced the launch of its Volunteer Impact Program (VIP), their corporate volunteer program that provides Social Solutions employees with paid time to volunteer in their communities.
Through VIP, Social Solutions employees are allotted four paid days a year to volunteer at nonprofit and charitable organizations of their choice. The company expects to donate more than 3,500 hours of employee time through the volunteer program in 2014.
“Since our founding, we at Social Solutions have prided ourselves on our mission-driven focus and our commitment to support nonprofit and government organizations as they work to help those most in need. The launch of the Volunteer Impact Program serves as a reinforcement of that commitment and provides our employees with another means to support organizations doing great work in their own backyard,” said Scott Johnson, CEO of Social Solutions.
The launch of VIP comes at a time of tremendous growth for Social Solutions—the company recently celebrated their expansion of their product, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO®) software to the European, Australian, and Latin American markets. Additionally, in the past year, Social Solutions’ workforce has increased 10% since April 2013, and expects to grow by 6% by the end of 2014.
Social Solutions expects VIP to not only provide a means for the company to give back to the community, but provide a major benefit to employees and be an asset in attracting, retaining, and building top talent.
“Studies have shown that there are significant benefits that come from volunteering—people who volunteer report lower stress and feel healthier, among other findings. We’ve developed VIP with this in mind, as well as with the desire to give our employees the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and strengthen engagement in a way that allows them to express their values and connect with a cause or organization they are particularly passionate about,” said David Gertler, COO of Social Solutions.
Social Solutions is formally launching VIP during National Volunteer Week, April 6-12, a national campaign dedicating to celebrating an encouraging individuals who engage in their communities. To mark the launch, Social Solutions is holding a VIP Kick-Off Challenge, charging Social Solutions employees with collectively volunteering 500 hours by June 30. Additionally, the company is hosting a series of internal volunteer activities during National Volunteer week, including assembling care packages to be donated to Baltimore-based Health Care for the Homeless, which provides health-related services, education and advocacy to reduce homelessness throughout Maryland, and SARC, which serves victims of domestic violence in Harford County, Md.
