Many people are interested in looking up into the night sky in order to see what's out there. There are many who wish to be able to name the constellations, though find it difficult to do so.
New innovations are being released in consumer astronomy. This includes apps for smartphones and tablets as well as telescopes and other technology that allow people to learn about the universe. Much of the technology uses geo-trackers and GPS coordinates in order for people to be able to identify the constellations above them.
Jimmy Johnson, ex-NFL coach and now host of "Leading Edge" highlights some of these new innovations. A full introduction to some of the new technology is made as the Leading Edge team talks to various developers to find out what the average consumer is able to get. Demonstrations are also made so that the technology can be seen firsthand.
Leading Edge has become dedicated to telling people about what's going on in the world and what is available on the market as it pertains to an array of different topics. The show airs weekly can be caught online so that the masses have access to the information being presented.
"Leading Edge" is not distributed through PBS but to Public Television stations around the U.S. For more information, visit the website at http://www.leadingedgeseries.com or email producers of the show at info(at)leadingedgeseries(dot)com.
