@properties Names Rebecca Thomson Vice President of Agent Development
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- @properties, the largest independent real estate brokerage firm in Chicagoland, today announced that it has hired Rebecca Thomson as vice president of agent development. Company co-founders Thaddeus Wong and Michael Golden made the announcement.
Thomson, 29, comes to @properties from Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, where she was a senior associate. She brings eight years of experience in residential real estate sales and extensive involvement in the industry.
Thomson was recently named to the National Association of REALTORS® “30 Under 30” list and served as president of the Chicago Women’s Council of REALTORS®. Thomson also currently sits on the board of directors for the Chicago Association of REALTORS® and chairs the Illinois Association of REALTORS’® Young Professionals Network (YPN).
At @properties, Thomson will be responsible for the creation and implementation of educational, training, and business-development initiatives for @properties’ more than 1,300 brokers in the city, surrounding suburbs and Southwest Michigan. Additionally, Thomson will serve as a performance coach to @properties agents, meeting with brokers regularly to help them plan and execute their business goals.

A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Thomson has a bachelor’s degree in English. Outside of real estate, she is actively involved with the community, serving on boards for both the Union League Club of Chicago and Step Up Women’s Network, which provides after-school and mentoring programs for teenage girls in underserved city neighborhoods. Thomson also writes “The Condoist”, a blog on the Chicago Tribune’s Chicago Now website.
