2014 SIIA CODiE Award Finalists Include Pearson’s Solutions Aimed at Leveraging Insights to Improve Learning Outcomes
New York (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- Three Pearson technology solutions that allow educators to leverage the power of data to improve teaching and learning are finalists in the 2014 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE Awards for Education. PowerSchool and Schoolnet are finalists for Best K-12 Enterprise Solution and Schoolnet Educator Development Suite (EDS) is a finalist for Best Professional Learning Solution for Education.
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement across the software, digital information and education technology industries. This year, nominated ed-tech products underwent an intensive review by educator judges from around the world.
The fastest-growing, most widely used web-based student information system, PowerSchool supports more than 13 million students globally. PowerSchool enables today's educators to make timely decisions that impact student performance while creating a collaborative environment for parents, teachers and students to work together in preparing 21st century learners for the future. PowerSchool provides the full range of features needed by administrators at the district, school, student, and parent level ranging from attendance management, tracking, and notification; to integrated, push-button state reporting.
An innovative instructional management suite, Schoolnet seamlessly ties together a robust assessment administration system, highly visual reports and dashboards and standards-focused instructional planning and curriculum management tools. This solution provides districts with instructional resources to fully support the migration to higher standards and assessments with tools, content and capabilities. Schoolnet provides powerful diagnostic support for educators and learners to help tailor and enhance the learning experience, leveraging student performance data to drive effective instruction.
Schoolnet Educator Development Suite (EDS) features new, data-driven tools to provide educators at all levels with the means to build and extend teacher capacity. It helps personalize learning for educators by marrying multiple measures of educator development with student performance, then linking this information to resources that foster professional growth. Districts that combine Schoolnet's Educator Development solutions with the instructional management suite have the most holistic, integrated, and advanced system for driving student achievement available.
