America's Auction Network Will Host An Auction For 19th And 20th Century Fine Art On Saturday, April 19th
Saint Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) April 14, 2014 -- AANTV will be hosting a 20th century fine art auction live on TV April 19th at 11:59 p.m.
Bidders from across the nation will tune in and bid live via phone and internet as America's Auction Network sells rare works of art to the highest bidder. To participate bidders must first register to be eligible to place their first bid.
Art collectors, museums, and those interested in filling their homes with rich culture in the spirit of the 20th century will gather around their TV on the 10th of April for the chance to own a piece of history.
Art from an era that changed history will be presented. An era that brought us the first automobile, the birth of aviation, World Wars, the Cold War and the home computer. The art reflects lifestyles from the 1800's through the 1900's. Artists poured their interpretations into these works of art during a time when steam locomotives challenged horses, the Civil War tore the United States in two, the Great Depression sank our economy and the biggest wars we ever saw changed history.
Artists such as H Claude Pissarro, Robert Havell, David McCall-Johnston, and Alphonse Mucha to name a few, will be featured. Mucha, an icon from the 1800's (Mucha Foundation), is known for creating 20 paintings which make up the Slav Epic. These monumental paintings, some of which measure as much as 6 by 8 meters, represent more than a thousand years of Slav history. The canvases were completed between 1912 and 1926 and in 1928 Mucha and Charles Crane officially presented the Slav Epic as a gift to the City of Prague. Items including a rare, signed Charles A Lindbergh WE Book, a World War II "Two sons in service" Americana Window Banner, carved African masks and sculptures will be shown to represent one of the most influential periods in history.
