Collaaj Unveils ‘Unified Video Capture & Management’ Platform At Sloan Consortium’s Emerging Technologies For Online Learning International Symposium
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- Collaaj, a Silicon Valley company with a mission to enrich communication in education and enterprise, will be one of ten startups showcased at the second annual “Launch Pad” event April 9-11. Collaaj will be presenting their Unified Video Capture and Management Platform, a unified low cost solution for lecture capture and flipped learning.
Launch Pad is a feature event exhibiting educational technology startups at MERLOT Emerging Technologies for Online International Symposium (ET4Online). The showcase selection process is extremely competitive and reserved for only a select number of educational technology companies. Collaaj was selected to present their education platform, Unified Video Capture and Management.
The ‘Unified Video Capture & Management’ platform from Collaaj, is an all-in-one, cost effective, video solution for any educational institution. It requires zero custom hardware and is fully cloud based. Instead of traditional approaches to video that require expensive media hardware, or multiple applications for lecture capture and flipped learning, Collaaj takes a comprehensive approach offering a unified solution. Collaaj also interoperates seamlessly with Learning Management Systems, including Blackboard, Desire2Learn and Moodle, as well as YouTube-Like platforms for Universities, such as Kaltura or Ensemble Video.
“The platform looks at the complete picture of improving true learning with rich content, as opposed to old-style capture platforms that are heavyweight, and hardware based,” says Kiran Kamity, Founder and CEO of Collaaj. “We are excited to showcase our hard work and dedication to enrich communication in education.”
Collaaj began designing updates and enhancement specifically for the education field in 2013. The goal was to meet and exceed the needs of educators with lecture capture, as well as enhanced flipped learning in higher education and K-12 classrooms. The commitment to this platform has been noticed with the selection to participate in this year’s Launch Pad.
Collaaj Founder, Kiran Kamity, will also be in a panel discussion titled Launch Pad Panel: Igniting a New Ecosystem. The panel will discuss opportunities and challenges facing higher education today. The plenary session will be moderated by Michael Staton from Learn Capital and will take place Thursday, April 10th at 8:15 am.
