IMCA to Hold 2014 Annual Conference in Boston, May 4-7
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 09, 2014 -- Investment Management Consultants Association® (IMCA®) will hold its 2014 Annual Conference at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, May 4-7. Simultaneous to the Annual Conference, interested investment consultants can complete the Advanced Investment Strategist Certificate program at the nearby Sheraton Boston.
The 2014 Annual Conference boasts an impressive lineup of speakers from leading universities, such as Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Harvard and Princeton, as well executives from major financial firms, including Wells Fargo, UBS, J.P. Morgan Investment Management and BlackRock. Statistician Nate Silver and Princeton University professor Alan Blinder are among the notable keynote speakers. Super Sessions and Workshops will feature industry leaders sharing their knowledge on a range of wealth management issues—from strategies for communicating with different generations of clients, to opportunities in alternative investments, to retirement and tax planning.
A pre-conference workshop on ethics, led by veteran financial advisor Dan Candura, will be offered for continuing education credit for both the IMCA ethics requirement and the CFP Board ethics continuing education requirement.
“There’s no beginner’s track at our conference, nor are there paid-product presentations,” said Brian Ullsperger, Chair of IMCA’s Annual Conference Committee. “The content is completely peer-reviewed and geared towards the advanced investment professional.”
Across the street, IMCA will be offering the Advanced Investment Strategist Certificate in Portfolio Risk Management. Professors from top business schools, along with experienced industry practitioners, will lead a series of application-oriented sessions to help advisors better understand how to manage client portfolios in today’s uncertain economy. Space for the certificate program is limited to 100 people. Certain sessions of the Annual Conference will be open to certificate program attendees.
