The CEI Group, Inc. (CEI) is offering previews of DriverCare ™ 5.0, the latest generation of its signature online fleet driver safety and risk management system, at the NAFA Fleet Management Association 2014 Institute and Expo, the company announced today.
“The primary goals of DriverCare™ 5.0 are to make it easier, faster and more intuitive for fleet and risk professional administrators and field managers to find the information they’re looking for, and to make it effortless to switch between CEI’s online fleet safety and accident management systems,” said Brian Kinniry, CEI’s manager of risk and safety services.
Among the enhancements in DriverCare ™5.0 are:
Driver Scorecard - An entirely new page in DriverCare, the Driver Scorecard provides a snapshot, high-level summary of all the kinds of information in a driver’s record, and enables fleet administrators to drill down into any category for more detailed information.
“For example, the scorecard might say a driver has two accidents, has taken five online lessons and has two open items to complete,” Mr. Kinniry explained. ”Instead of seeing all that detail on one page, or using a navigation toolbar to find it, a fleet administrator can click on any item directly on the scorecard to get the details.”
Enhanced Management Hierarchy Access – A new feature with DriverCare 5.0 is easy one-click access to fleet driver risk information at the level of field managers. One click by an administrator or field manager brings up a page that summarizes the risk level of all of a manager’s direct reports, and shows a list of those drivers with key risk profile metrics. Clicking on any driver in the list will bring up all detail in the driver’s file, including accidents, violations, training and open action items.
“The goal here is to help field managers take an active role in shaping their drivers’ on-road behavior, and to make it easy for the manager to assess his or her group’s performance,” Mr. Kinniry explained.
Simplified Navigation – DriverCare 5.0’s menu bars will be supplemented by an “Apps” section at the bottom of each page. The “Apps” will refer to different core functions of the DriverCare system, like risk rating, driver history and training. One click on an “App” icon brings up a menu that enables administrators to zero in on the specific task or information they’re looking for, and zoom to any level, from the entire fleet to an individual driver.
“In addition to these enhancements, DriverCare 5.0 features new, bolder and cleaner graphics to further improve its usability and the user experience, as well as to make it compatible with a wide variety of devices,” said Mr. Kinniry.
The new system is still in development, and will be made available to all of CEI’s fleet safety clients throughout the second half of 2014, Mr. Kinniry said.
