Hepatitis C: Do Tattoo Parties Raise Risk of Infection? polyDNA Answers Survey Question and Recommends Gene-Eden-VIR Against the Latent HCV
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- polyDNA’s latest survey found that 32% of respondents wondered whether getting a tattoo at a tattoo party could raise the risk of a hepatitis C (HCV) infection. To answer this, Dr. Kevin Sherin said that “Tattoo parties are events where someone hires an unlicensed person or business to provide tattoos for their guests. They often occur inside homes or hotel rooms using inexperienced artists. They are very popular with minors looking for an inexpensive tattoo without their parent’s consent.” (See the Orlando Sentinel, from December 19, 2013) (1). Dr. Kevin Sherin is the director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County. polyDNA recommends Gene-Eden-VIR to those infected with the hepatitis C virus. This natural antiviral was proven to reduce symptoms associated with an HCV infection in a post-marketing clinical study that followed FDA guidelines.
Besides using an unlicensed tattoo artist at tattoo parties, risk increases when “the artists don’t wear protective gloves or use sterile equipment (1).” Other complications that can occur at a tattoo party include “Diseases. Tetanus, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV are some of the diseases that can be transmitted by contaminated blood on unsterilized equipment (1).”
It is wise to get tested for hepatitis C if there is any doubt concerning the sanitation of the location where one gets tattooed. “Most people with hepatitis C don't know they have it. The infection usually becomes chronic, meaning the virus lives in the liver quietly for decades. It can take up to 30 years before symptoms develop. By then, your liver may be in serious trouble. That's why you need to get tested before there's any sign of trouble.” (See WebMD, last reviewed on November 11, 2013) (2).
In addition, getting tested for HCV is quick and easy. “A simple blood test can tell if you've ever been infected with hepatitis C. The results usually come back in a few days, but some clinics have rapid tests that can be read in as little as 20 minutes (2).”
“We recommend that people obtain a tattoo at a licensed tattoo parlor. Otherwise, we recommend getting tested for HCV. If positive, the individual should ask the doctor about Gene-Eden-VIR. This natural antiviral was clinically proven to reduce symptoms of an HCV infection in a study that followed FDA guidelines.” - Mike Evans, polyDNA
A study published on August 12, 2013 in the peer reviewed, medical journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy, in a special edition on Advances in Antiviral Drugs, showed that Gene-Eden-VIR reduced herpes symptoms. Study authors wrote that, “Individuals infected with the hepatitis C virus… reported a safe decrease in their symptoms following treatment with Gene-Eden-VIR (3).” The study authors also wrote that, “We observed a statistically significant decrease in the severity, duration, and frequency of symptoms (3).”
Research shows that an infection with hepatitis C also causes a feeling of physical and mental fatigue. Since Gene-Eden-VIR is antiviral, a second post-marketing clinical study showed that Gene-Eden-VIR decreases the feeling of physical and mental fatigue. That study was published in March, 2014 in the journal Pharmacology & Pharmacy (4).
