Winston-Salem, N.C. (PRWEB) April 12, 2014 -- DataChambers, a full-service information technology and managed services firm, today announced it will be the exclusive technology sponsor of the second-annual Hackathon CLT, scheduled for April 25-26 at Packard Place in Charlotte, N.C.
The fast-paced, team-based competition will offer programmers, designers, developers and other techies an opportunity showcase their skills and compete for cash prizes by collaborating to solve a specific business problem. Teams will work through Friday night and present their work to judges on Saturday afternoon.
The event will be hosted by Tresata, a predictive analytics software applications company that joined Harris Teeter in launching the Hackathon movement in Charlotte. This year teams will use shopper metrics from Harris Teeter and P&G to explore how to increase grocery trips per shopper and transactions per trip for P&G products.
“Charlotte has a thriving community of skilled technical workers and entrepreneurs, and we’re delighted to offer them an opportunity to showcase what they can accomplish,” says Brian Cesca, Charlotte-area business development manager for DataChambers. The company is currently building a new data center on the North Carolina Research Campus near Charlotte.
Details about the Hackathon event and free tickets for both participants and spectators are available at http://www.hackathonCLT.org.
