Marietta Vet Clinic Hosting Pet Microchip and Pet Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, May 10, 2014
Marietta, GA (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Marietta Vet Clinic, an animal clinic in Marietta, GA, understands the importance of having pets microchiped. They are hosting the first annual microchip and low cost pet vaccination clinic. Each year many pets are lost without collars or tags, and wander far away. A microchip is then the only way a pet becomes reunited with the family.
"The clinic receives calls and flyers about lost pets every week, and when the owners learn microchipping is so affordable, they wish they had it done," says Dr. Peckich.
The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice, and is implanted usually between the shoulder blades. Once inserted, the animal does not feel discomfort.
Due to demand, the event will also include a dog and cat vaccination clinic. Affordable vaccinations and pet exam can be done at the same visit. Rabies vaccine is the Georgia law, and most pets require additional vaccines to help remain in top health. A complete list of vaccine costs are available by calling Marietta Vet Clinic.
Interested pet owners will need to bring their pet to the Marietta pet clinic with dogs leashed and cats in carriers. The cost of the microchip is $39 per pet, and for an additional fee, owners can register with the chip provider. The additional services include 24 hour notification, travel assistance if your pet roams a distance from home, a lost pet alert sent out to shelters and more. Veterinarians and concerned citizens will also be alerted of a lost pet.
Marietta Vet Clinic and veterinarian, Julian Peckich DVM are pleased to welcome dogs and cats to the pet clinic, dog clinic and cat clinic. Dr. Peckich provides veterinary services for the Marietta, Kennesaw, Dallas, Acworth, and Powder Springs, GA. It would be their great pleasure to welcome dogs and cats to the pet family for cat vaccinations, dog vaccinations, sick animal relief, laboratory testing, pet teeth cleaning, veterinary dentistry, wellness exams, spay and neuter clinic and mobile veterinary services.
