Fitz and the Tantrums Headline Tachevah Concert in Palm Springs
Palm Springs, California (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- The popular Los Angeles based band, Fitz and the Tantrums, will be heading east to Palm Springs to headline the 2nd Annual Tachevah: A Palm Springs Block Party, scheduled on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in downtown Palm Springs between both Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival weekends.
Fitz and the Tantrums played at Coachella in 2012 and recent hits include “Out of my League” and “The Walker.” The indie band will be joined by Coachella 2014 EDM duo Classixx for the free concert. Last year’s inaugural Tachevah concert, headlined by Coachella performers Passion Pit, attracted 6,500 people, and this year’s event is expected to attract 10,000 people.
The free block party will take place outside of the Spa Resort Casino will also feature three Coachella Valley emerging bands - The Yip Yops, CIVX and ONE11.
During the month of April, Palm Springs hosts several festivals ranging from jazz to electronica to indie rock. Signature events include The Dinah, Palm Springs Women’s Jazz Festival, Opera in the Park, White Party Palm Springs, and nearby Coachella Valley Music Festival and Stagecoach Country Music Festival.
Tachevah is presented by the City of Palm Springs, The Desert Sun, P.S Resorts, the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, Philanthropist/Spencer’s Restaurant owner Harold Matzner, and Goldenvoice.
