Glenwood Garden launches new e-commerce market offering artisan-made food products that benefits nonprofits.

We’re excited to launch the artisan food box portion of our business, and look forward to delighting Mom’s this year for the holiday.

Glenwood Garden, a startup committed to social entrepreneurship, recently launched an e-commerce market offering a range of artisan-made food products. Their packaged food goods include caramels, teas, jams, spices, and more, and are perfect for seasonal and holiday gifts throughout the year, as well as for stocking your pantry. For Mother’s Day 2014, Glenwood Garden is offering their first-ever curated food box, which will be released for sale on April 24, 2014. Sales will be open for a limited time, to ensure delivery before Mother’s Day. Future curated boxes will become available throughout 2014 and beyond.

Based in Massachusetts but with a nationwide reach, Glenwood Garden is a for-profit business with a social mission - to help nonprofits gain a new source of revenue. The Glenwood Garden market offers sustainably made, small-batch products crafted by passionate artisans from around the country, and gives a large portion of the profit from each sale to specific nonprofits, making their market not just an exciting new e-commerce storefront, but also a method for producing revenue for valued nonprofit partners all over the United States.

The Glenwood Garden market features artisans who are committed to sustainability, organic farming, local food and fair trade, and who use ingredients and practices that reflect those values. The products sold through their website are high quality and most are not available for purchase outside of their local areas, except through Glenwood Garden. Some of these artisans include Ann’s Raspberry Farm, Green Mountain Mustard, Little Red Cup, McCrea’s Candies, and Tonewood. They are adding new artisans to their market frequently. They recently welcomed their first two nonprofit participators, Food For Free based in Cambridge, MA, and Toledo Grows based in Toledo, OH. They plan to add many more nonprofits partners in the future.

Said Glenwood Garden founder Jonah Rapino, "We’re excited to launch the food box portion of our business, and look forward to delighting Mom’s this year for the holiday. It’s no coincidence that our first artisan food box is for Mother's Day. I'm looking for something special to give to my mom, too!"
