Bay Area Recovery Center Introduces New Drug Treatment Services in Houston, Texas
Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- Finding a drug and alcohol treatment center has never been easy, but even with many options available it can be quite daunting to choose the right one. Bay Area Recovery Center intends to make such a task much easier. Serving Houston and its surrounding towns and areas—like Galveston and Clear Lake—Bay Area Recovery Center recently introduced a revamped range of treatment services and recovery plans that are virtually unmatched in Texas.
A big part of Bay Area Recovery Center's services is its detoxification and drug and alcohol rehabilitation program. Patients get a full psychiatric evaluation for the appropriate detoxification medications and stabilization plan. During detoxification, vitals are monitored for symptom reduction. Even after discharge, treated persons still get follow-up treatments and monitoring on their ongoing recovery.
People can be admitted for an overnight stay or for a certain time period, or even treated without being admitted to the center. As an inpatient, each patient has access to structured activities, relapse prevention, enrollment in chemical dependency education and counseling sessions, and can even receive job training. Additionally, Bay Area Recovery Center's staff will guide inpatients through a 12-step support group orientation in which patients participate in several interactive sessions.
Outpatient services are divided into the intensive outpatient program and the supportive outpatient program. The intensive outpatient program consists of 12 hours of group-based chemical dependency counseling, and one hour of individual counseling. The supportive outpatient program requires a three-hour interactive group counseling session each week, plus a monthly individual counseling session. There's also the choice of partial hospitalization, which enables clients to come to the treatment facility during the daytime so that they can still attend to their everyday activities.
For families and friends of addicts who do not wish to go to a treatment center, Bay Area Recovery provides help with interventions. The center's trained counselors can help family members hold an intervention in any of the center's facilities. Additionally, Bay Area Recovery Center is one of the few non-co-ed places in the state that provides special drug and alcohol services for women.
