First of Many Sub Zero Ice Cream Stores Opens in Texas

San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- Sub Zero Ice cream & Yogurt is pleased to announce the opening of its first liquid nitrogen ice cream store in Texas. Scheduled to open this Sunday, April 13th, the San Antonio location is the first of many Texas stores to open in the future.

Saturday, April 12th, Storeowners Aniq Lakhpaty and Shoaib Kalwani plan to kick off the store opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Special representatives from the city of San Antonio will be present to begin the ceremony and cut the ribbon. The store will be officially serving customized ice cream to the public on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Lakhpaty and Kalwani are excited to enter the ice cream industry with their first Sub Zero location. With plans of several more locations to open in San Antonio and throughout Texas, Lakhpaty and Kalwani feel that this is just the thing the state of Texas needs to experience.

“Fresh, custom-made ice cream prepared and frozen in front of each customer is such a unique idea,” Lakhpaty said. “The power to control exactly what base, flavor and mix-in goes into each ice cream is an experience I am excited to see how the people of San Antonio react to.”

Since 2004, Sub Zero Ice Cream has dominated the liquid nitrogen ice cream industry with its unique hand freezing process. Now ten years later, Sub Zero has patented its process and opened more than 30 stores with hundreds more contracted to open in the next ten years worldwide. The San Antonio store marks the 34th Sub Zero Ice Cream location.

“The entire company is growing so quickly and we are excited to aid the expansion in Texas,” Kalwani said. “We already have a few ideas in mind for additional store locations to open this year, so we are ready to bring Sub Zero to many cities and offer a new frozen treat experience Texas hasn’t seen before.”
