Universal Roof & Contracting Announces Innovative Metal Roof Replacement Offerings
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Universal Roof & Contracting is now pleased to offer their customers Metstar Stone Coated Metal Roofing Systems. Company president and co-owner Jared Mellick had the opportunity to meet Vince Guerra, Inventor and Vice President of Metstar USA Inc.’s Stone Coated Metal Roofing Systems at the recent International Builders’ Show this February. Impressed with the company’s innovative new designs and cost-effective materials, Jared has just added the aesthetically pleasing and technologically advanced Metstar product line to Universal’s offerings for roof repair and replacement.
Mellick’s impression of Metstar’s roofing systems: “…there are so many advantages to metal roofing. It’s not being thrown away every 10, 15 or 20 years like traditional asphalt shingles - which increases landfills - and it is more energy efficient than shingles are, and it is not a petroleum-based product. So…more energy efficient, better for the environment… metal roofs in general are better. So the whole principle of Metstar is that they create a product which normally only the very rich can afford, but now is more affordable for the everyday type of guy…”
Universal Roof & Contracting now offers the three Metstar product series:
- F Series: Metstar’s established product line (over 10 years) of stone-coated metal shingles, with minimal accessories required to reduce installation costs. F Series offers multiple metal roofing options, at different price levels.
- Slate Series: Launched in 2013, this innovative product has quickly become the most popular profile in some areas of the United States. With a natural slate look, it changes as the sun rises and sets; when the light is at an angle, the stone pattern is defined. When the sun is head on - just like on a real slate roof - the design has less detail. The Slate Series is also the thinnest design, making it easier to install.
- The Bundle Series: Using innovative, patented strip technology, stone coated metal roofing components are bundled in convenient packages, for easy warehousing (or storage) and simplified roofing application.
Just released in January 2014, Metstar launched the Slate MF Plus Series, which has a deeper slate profile stamp and a hidden fastener system, making it even easier to install.
Looking forward, Universal Roof & Contracting anxiously anticipates being one of the first contractors to make available Metstar’s new metal asphalt shingle: it looks almost exactly like an asphalt shingle, except that all the exposed area has a layer of metal between the asphalt and the stone. With this layering, the aluminum reflects 100% of the UV rays so the essential oils in the asphalt don’t evaporate; it’s basically an asphalt shingle that almost never deteriorates. This innovative product is due to be launched late next year.
