Georgia Meyers, the Program Director at Center for Discovery Virginia, will be a featured guest on an upcoming broadcast of Sunday Mornings with Dee Daniels show on WBQB in Virginia. Ms. Meyers, a licensed professional counselor, has extensive experience in the treatment of adolescents with eating disorders and will be discussing these disorders and their effect on adolescents and families during the show. The show airs this Sunday, April 13, 2013 at 8:00 a.m.
During the show, Georgia Meyers will be providing some background information and will outline telltale warning signs that parents can look for in their children. She will describe the major disorders, anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder and talk about some of the differences between them. Ms. Meyers will also discuss some of the myths surrounding the disorders. The show is designed to help people gain a better understanding of eating disorders and provide more specific information for parents of teens and adolescents.
