By combining a SBC and a backplane, you will have created a device that operates similar to a motherboard, but allows for up to 14 total slots. The SBC2263EL allows Intel® Xeon® E3 V3 (Haswell) processors. SBC comes with the option of up to 13 to 14 slots PICMG 1.3 backplanes.
The SBCQ873AL allows 4th Generation® Core™ (Haswell) Processors, including Pentium, i3, i5, and i7 processors. This SBC also comes with the option of PICMG 1.3 13 or 14 slot backplanes.
