IED Web Marketing & One Million Acts of Innovation have partnered together to deliver a program called Flourish (http://www.flourishsocialmedia.net). The program was originally funded by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities and is now being taken over by the business community.
More and more businesses are looking for resources that can walk into their organization and start to produce immediate results. “Flourish connects social media savvy students to businesses challenged with time and social media expertise. We help businesses gain access to new customers and new markets in a different and refreshing way. What Flourish provides is students who have time, a framework that produces successful outcomes, the resources and creative minds to help businesses succeed. I want to personally thank The Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities for helping fund this program in partnership with One Million Acts of Innovation,” says Ken Wells, President of IED Web Marketing. Flourish was created as a way to shift Canada’s economic destiny, tackle youth unemployment and to increase innovation. This program enables students to gain the skills they need through training and working experience to successfully embark on their career path and be leaders in their field. In addition to the valuable experience they gain, they build the portfolio they need to enter the workforce prepared with transferable skills and are therefore able to access high paying jobs.
