Actress Noree Victoria of TVOne’s “The Rickey Smiley Show” to Host "Cooking for a Cause" Fundraiser
Chicago (PRWEB) April 11, 2014 -- Noree Victoria, who plays “Simone” on The Rickey Smiley Show, will host a charity event, Cooking for a Cause, on Saturday, April 12th, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will benefit Alexandria House, a Los Angeles shelter for homeless women and children.
Special invited guests will participate in an interactive culinary experience, lead by Chef Rose Lebouf, at a private location in Larchmont Village. The group will cook and enjoy their own five-course gourmet meal, and will also prepare the ingredients for additional meals to be sent to Alexandria House, where the residents will get to create their own fun cooking experience and enjoy a gourmet meal made from fresh ingredients.
“Cooking is something that I’ve really grown to enjoy over the years, and I’m extremely passionate about helping to ease the plight of homelessness and poverty in America; so for me, this event is perfect, it speaks to every corner of my heart. No one should go to bed unfed,” Noree said.
The menu includes:
- An assortment of wines and hors d'oeuvres
- Grilled Chicken with Treviso and Balsamic Glaze
- Grilled Panzanella
- Roman Chickpeas
- Roasted Zucchini Ribbons with Fresh Ricotta and Herbs
- Peach Bread Pudding with Brandy Cream Sauce
Sponsors include: Cufflink Productions & the Reuten Family, Beaman Incorporated, Strivers Row USA, and Mark Elson.
