Athletes Get an "EDGE" on the Competition with Continuum Performance Center
East Longmeadow, MA (PRWEB) April 14, 2014 -- Regardless of age, skill level, or sport, coaches are looking for players with passion — those that will work hard to achieve their personal best and then exceed it. But how can athletes improve their physical prowess and remain injury free? Continuum Performance Center, the leader in athletic conditioning and training, introduces a new program that helps athletes achieve extraordinary results.
“EDGE” mimics some of CPC’s signature programming but is customized exclusively to meet the needs of athletes, and their personal and coaches' goals for the season. Sarah Kelly, Director of Team Programming at Continuum Performance Center, elaborates, “EDGE is geared towards any sports team or small group of individuals — club, AAU, recreational or town teams, junior high, high school, collegiate, and professional — looking to improve their speed, agility, conditioning, strength, and power.”
It is comprised of four tiers, each offering varying degrees of training within a specific time period: pre-season, in-season, off-season, or during an academic year. Owner, Geoff Sullivan, adds, “We first identify the physical necessities and limitations of the players and combine that with the coaches desired outcome, in order to design a personalized program for the season.” Some of the customized options include Metabolic Conditioning, Speed & Agility, Mobility & Flexibility, Recovery & Regeneration, Development of Functional Strength & Movements (aids in injury prevention).
Whether a team needs a “mental toughness” day before the start of a season, a new element/challenge to their current regime, or an exclusive Tier 4 training program, CPC EDGE conditions athletes for any competitive sport with the largest emphasis on injury prevention.
“As a former collegiate coach and athlete gaining a physical and mental edge over your opponent is critical to success. The staff at CPC has an incredible amount of knowledge and energy to provide any program and any athlete with the training they need to reach their full athletic potential,” Kelly explains.
Sullivan adds, “CPC’s growth over the last 15 months has put us in a unique position allowing us to hire highly qualified staff members to execute programs, like EDGE, with this much professional content and covering such a wide range of sports that no one can match in the area.”
