Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) April 15, 2014
Jersey City based Fluitec, developer of the revolutionary TesTme Kit, a unique tool for assessing and monitoring free radicals and oxidative stress in the human body, is in talks with a number of U.S. retailers who are looking to capture more of the growing health-conscious consumer market.
"We don't want to give specific names at this time but what I can tell you is that right now we're having conversations that could lead to this product being on retail shelves," said Fluitec CEO Frank Magnotti. "We're seeing a uptick in interest from consumers for a variety of reasons, all pointing to how consumers want to have more control and understanding of what is working or not working in their body as it pertains to antioxidants."
Fluitec is rolling out a series of social media TV style spots featuring TesTme Kit spokesman Kevin Sorbo, star of the Hercules television series by the end of April, supported by a media relations campaign and event tie-ins, including the NORIA Reliable Plant Show in San Antonio.
Sorbo, who successfully recovered from three strokes while shooting the series, knows full well how important it is to understand oxidative stress. It was a diet rich in antioxidants, along with exercise, that helped him recover. Sorbo's story is chronicled in his book True Strength.
The TestME™ Kit is based on the concentration of Malondialdehyde (MDA) as a proven, valid biomarker to indicate oxidative stress. TestME™ determines the amount of MDA and other aldehydes in urine. Results are expressed in the test sample’s color: the darker the color, the higher the level of free radicals. After making adjustments to either diet or lifestyle, consumers can continue to monitor their progress through the test results.
The TesTME Kit is currently available online at http://www.testmekit.com.
