Louisville, KY (PRWEB) April 14, 2014
For fans of The Beatles and of Paul McCartney in particular in the United States, June and July will be the best two months of the year. While McCartney isn’t going on a 40 city North American tour like other popular performers, he has announced four tour dates in the middle of the year that will allow him to play live shows for his fans. McCartney has always been known as a great live performer and will look to continue his reputation when he plays in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Albany, New York; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Louisville, Kentucky. On June 26th, McCartney will be in the latter city performing at the KFC Yum! Center.
Since entering the music business in 1957, McCartney has turned into one of the most influential and polarizing figures. His ability to craft a song from the original thought through the production side has made him one of the greatest brains in the business and a person that is looked up to by the fans and by his peers. When he and former The Beatles member John Lennon wrote music together, they put together some of the most popular songs of the generation.
Over the course of his career, McCartney has been a part of more than 60 Recording Industry Association of America certified gold albums, more than 100 million record sales and more than 100 million singles sales. As a solo performer, he has sold more than 15 million records in the United States and fans will hope to hear him perform many of his biggest hits when he heads to Louisville. Among the anticipated songs include “Live and Let Die,” “Maybe I’m Amazed,” “Band on the Run,” “Jet,” “Let Me Roll It,” “Silly Love Songs,” “Helen Wheels,” and any song during his time with The Beatles that he will grace his fans with.
The KFC Yum! Center originally opened in 2010 and is the home of the Louisville Cardinals men’s and women’s basketball teams. For an end stage concert, the facility can seat more than 17,000 fans and will be packed to the rafters when McCartney brings his popular music for the first time. Other of the biggest names in music have already performed at the venue including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, Lady Gaga, The Eagles, George Strait, Beyonce, Katy Perry, The Who, Bruno Mars, Van Halen and Justin Bieber.
