The ACE awards are a big deal in our industry and we’re proud to be able to score another win for the Portland food scene as a whole – particularly since we believe serving such a unique and discerning market is what puts us at the top of our game

VT Group, the company behind Vibrant Table and Food in Bloom, two of the Portland’s largest and most successful catering businesses, today announced it received and Achievement in Catering Excellence (ACE) Award at the 2014 Catersource Conference and Tradeshow in Las Vegas. The ACE award recognizes catering companies that have shown noteworthy culinary, business, community and professional development achievement throughout the year.

ACE Award winners are divided into six categories based on geographic region (the eastern and western halves of the United States and international) and size (up to $2 million in revenue and more than $2 million in revenue). Catersource judges consider several different criteria when evaluating competitors including industry innovation, sales and marketing strategies, training, standards, management techniques and overall contributions to the industry. VT Group was named best in the western region/over $2 million category, becoming the first Oregon recipient of the award.
