LiveGuard Provides Traditional Alarm Manufacturers With Home Automation & Home CCTV Plug-in Capabilities
Glamorgan UK (PRWEB UK) 30 May 2014 -- LiveGuard has extended MyLiveGuard, its combined home automation, alarm and CCTV solutions platform to enable traditional security alarm manufacturers to tap into the burgeoning home automation marketplace. The platform enables alarm manufacturers to add advanced features such as smartphone remote control, home automation and video verification to their existing products at a fraction of the cost and time of developing it themselves.
Traditional home security alarm companies are starting to see the opportunities – as well as the threats - arising out of the accelerating growth of the Home Automation market.
“Falling consumer technology costs and offerings from new entrants like Google and Microsoft are re-positioning home automation as affordable lifestyle options for the mass market – and in the process they are changing customers’ perceptions about what they expect from home security solutions too,” said Mark Naldrett, Sales Director of LiveGuard Ltd.
“Plugging our platform into their panels helps traditional alarm manufacturers to respond quickly, to protect and optimise their existing customer base as well as compete more effectively for new customers in an increasingly IT-centric world”.
LiveGuard’s solution broadens the scope of traditional alarm panel products by enabling home owners to remotely arm/disarm and re-set their existing bell box as well as monitor, protect and control their homes in real-time. The platform supports the addition of wireless IP cameras to provide homeowners with integrated live surveillance and enhanced call alerting with cloud-served incident video footage.
Integration to call centre software such as Immix means that the existing system's alarm calls to third party monitoring stations for professional intervention can be supplemented with video verification to help reduce false alarms.
The addition of a wide range of Zwave-based home automation devices allows homeowners to use their smartphones to remotely control lights, heating and a wide range of other electrical devices both individually or on a scheduled basis to simulate occupancy when away from home, prepare their property for their return home and manage energy more efficiently.
“Our software platform has been designed to be easily integrated with traditional alarm panel solutions to give home owners new functionalities from their existing home security supplier. The solution can be own branded and the cloud-server set-up provides a platform for alarm manufacturers to get closer to their end customers and generate additional subscription-based revenue streams,” concluded Naldrett.
