Hampshire Performance Gym to Run Strength and Conditioning Seminar
Aldershot, Hampshire (PRWEB UK) 16 April 2014 -- Fight Science are inviting local martial artists, coaches and trainers to attend a strength and conditioning seminar at their Aldershot gym. The seminar, which will be provided free of charge, will help attendees develop the skills necessary to become ultimate physical fighters.
The seminar will run from 12.00 noon until 15.00 on Saturday 10th May and will be conducted by Fight Science’s head of strength and conditioning, Paul Read. Paul is a senior lecturer and PhD student at St Mary’s University and will be hoping to share some of his vast experience and impressive skills with local fighters.
The event will cover areas such as improved punching power, energy supply, muscle balance, heavy demands and stamina – skills that must be mastered to develop the physical qualities needed to be a successful combat athlete.
Fight Science Director, Nick Chapman, is keen to point out the reason for running the seminar:
“Many athletes and coaches are reluctant to undergo strength training because they fear losing flexibility and gaining body mass. We believe these concerns are largely unfounded and have invested a considerable amount of time and effort in developing optimal routines and training plans to help our combat athletes reach their physical peak,” he said.
