Wrightsville Beach, NC (PRWEB) April 15, 2014

ECO SWIM® by Aqua Green® and INVISTA, maker of XTRA LIFE LYCRA® fiber, have joined forces, partnering with Belk and United by Blue to host the third annual beach cleanup in Wrightsville Beach, NC on Saturday, April 26th from 8:30 – 11 a.m. Joining in the cleanup efforts will be acclaimed marine wildlife artist Guy Harvey, whose foundation encourages conservation and best management practices for sustainable marine environments.

More than 500 pounds of trash was removed during the cleanup at Myrtle Beach, SC last summer and the goal is to exceed that amount in Wrightsville Beach on April 26th. The cleanup will focus on the bay side of the beach and all volunteers will receive free breakfast snacks, bags, sunscreen, gloves, water and other supplies.

The missions of Belk, ECO SWIM® by Aqua Green®, United By Blue and the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation are interwoven with sustainable philosophies and through the April 26th event encourage volunteers in the Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington communities to get involved and help with the cleanup. To sign up and get more information, go to Wrightsville Beach Cleanup on the United by Blue website or call 215-642-0693.
