Search Engine Academy Washington DC Judges Business Plans for Miller Lite "Tap The Future" Contest
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- Search Engine Academy Washington DC (SEA DC) was selected as a judge to evaluate business plans for the Miller Lite "Tap The Future" Contest.
Nancy Wigal, the owner/operator of SEA DC remarked, "I did this last year and was impressed by the diverse types of businesses that are starting up. This is one way I can give something back to start-ups that can give them a leg up with funding for marketing, payroll and product or service development."
Entrepreneurs compete against one another to win $300,000 in prize money. They also receive mentoring and have opportunities to pitch their businesses in a live presentation.
"I was initially given this opportunity last year through the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. I really enjoyed it, and when I was offered the chance again this year, I said 'hell yes I'd like to judge business plans again!'" according to Nancy.
Contestants are judged on their mission, product/service description, teamwork and other factors to score high on the initial evaluation provided by judges like Nancy.
"It's so encouraging to read over these business plans, because there are a lot of great ideas to provide solutions to consumers and other businesses. There are some very creative business ideas," said Nancy.
