5th Annual Spirit Sprint 5k Expanding Reach and DonationTo Date, Event Has Raised More Than $41,000 in Support of Local School Athletic Programs
Columbus, Ohio (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Orthopedic ONE’s Spirit Sprint 5k Run/Walk is now in its fifth year! To date, this event has raised more than $41,000 in support of athletic and extracurricular programming at participating schools. Last year, the Groveport Madison Cruisers walked away with $10,000 in support of their athletic program. The Gahanna-Lincoln Lions earned $5,000, which they used to offset participation fees for both the girls’ and boys’ cross country teams.
Participating schools are invited to demonstrate their school pride, and encourage everyone in their communities to join in! Why? Earnings are based on each school’s total number of registered participants. Every school walks away with 80% of their registration proceeds, so the more people who sign up in support of a school – the MORE money that school raises! And to keep things interesting…the school with the greatest number of registered participants leaves with bragging rights, a trophy and the BIGGEST check of all!

• Registrants will receive an event shirt, refreshments and goody bag.
• Awards will be presented to the top five male, female and ‘Under 18’ finishers.
• A special trophy will be presented to the winning school district!
Online registration available through May 1 at http://www.premierraces.com. Participants may also register on race day, but please plan to arrive at 8am.
Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, May 2, from 4-6pm and Saturday, May 3, from 9am-Noon at Orthopedic ONE’s 170 Taylor Station Road office in Columbus.
