Johnny Carino’s announced today that for the fourth consecutive year they are making a donation to Autism Speaks and Autism Society in honor of Autism Awareness Month nationwide. The donation will be made through the Carino’s Foundation, the restaurant chain’s nonprofit arm that supports children’s charitable organizations through cause-related programs.

The event coincides with Johnny Carino’s latest promotion offering three limited-time ravioli dishes. Guests can choose from the Braised Beef Ravioli with choice of Parmesan Cream Sauce or homemade Meat Sauce, or the Chicken Pesto Ravioli made with imported Ligurian basil pesto.

“This is the fourth year in a row we are partnering with Autism Speaks and Autism Society to join their efforts to raise funds and provide critical support to families and individuals struggling with the affects of autism. The combined efforts of these organizations are truly making a difference in the lives of those who need education, resources and support,” said Creed Ford III, President and CEO of Johnny Carino’s. “In addition to our donation, many of our team members will be actively participating and donating their time in Autism-related events throughout the year at a local level. I could not be more proud of our teams and how they have embraced these organizations and events over the years.”

“Johnny Carino’s sets a great example of what companies can do to make a difference in the country’s fight against autism,” Said Sara Rankin Wilson, Manager, Field Development for Autism Speaks. “We are deeply grateful for their commitment in raising funds and awareness about autism.”

“We are so fortunate to have Johnny Carino's partner with the Autism Society in helping all impacted by autism. Their commitment to provide opportunity and help is so greatly appreciated,” said Scott Badesch, President and CEO of the Autism Society. “We are honored to have Johnny Carino’s as our friend and partner.”

The Second Annual Texas Autism Awareness Day Press Conference will include a discussion of recent legislative accomplishments to help autism diagnosis and treatment, recognition of major groups for autism research and support, and a presentation of donation to Autism Society by Johnny Carino’s.
