New Mexico Television Series Pilot Set for Debut and Launch
Santa Fe, New Mexico (PRWEB) April 16, 2014 -- The original New Mexico made series, “#Hashtag” will premiere the trailer for its pilot episode, at the 14th annual Santa Fe Film Festival on Sunday May 1, 2014, 3:30 p.m., at the Jean Cocteau Cinema, 418 Montezuma Ave. Santa Fe, New Mexico.
“#Hashtag” is derived from the narrative short film, “#NightsLikeThese”, by filmmaker Hannah Macpherson. The series follows a group of provocative teens and the lives they lead online, posing haunting questions and frighteningly personal insinuations of what havoc lies in the hands of almost every modern-day adolescent.
The premise was selected from among dozens of entries in the inaugural Santa Fe Pilot Project, with selection committee members declaring, “the series has the potential to be, the next 'Breaking Bad' for the state, New Mexico's own 'House of Cards' ”. That designation lands the production a “sneak peek” at the festival and advancement on to scheduled screenings with major studio executives.
Sponsored by the Santa Fe Film Festival, Shoot Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Pilot Project, “#HashtagPilot” is set to screen for networks in Los Angeles throughout the month, following its New Mexico premiere.
Produced by Melanie Kirk and Angelique Midthunder #Hashtag is written and directed by Hannah Macpherson, starring Amber Midthunder, Mia Stallard, Kayleigh Maes, Bernardo Gallegos, Kenneth Miller, Rebekah Wiggins.
