Garment Printing Calls for Change by Supporting Fashion Revolution Day
London, Barcelona (PRWEB UK) 16 April 2014 -- Garment Printing, the innovative clothing printing company, will promote their contribution to ethical fashion by attending the Fashion Revolution Day in Barcelona.
A new annual event in the fashion calendar, Fashion Revolution Day launches around the world on the 24 April 2014 to celebrate fashion as a positive influence and to give a voice to those that want to bring positive change to the fashion world.
Garment Printing Director, Gavin Drake explained why this was such a big opportunity for the company: “We are very proud of the ethical stance of our clothes and printing techniques. We strive to provide fashion our customers can wear in good conscience. Being part of Fashion Revolution will help highlight the ethical nature of our clothes to our customers.”
At Fashion Revolution Day in Barcelona, Garment Printing will provide exclusive backstage material and spread the word to raise awareness and pave the way to a more sustainable future of printed clothing and t-shirts.
The company is working with ethical fashion brands to educate the industry on fashion printing production good practice and make people more aware of the sustainable garment choices they have with Garment Printing.
Garment Printing’s clients can choose from the EarthPositive and Salvage ranges, which are 100% organic or recycled, made from sustainable materials such as bamboo, hemp or Tencel, ethically sourced and with a low carbon footprint.
Initiated by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro, Fashion Revolution aims to raise awareness of key issues and pave the way towards a more ethical future.
The idea for the day came after 1,133 people lost their lives in a collapse of the Rana Plaza textile factory in Bangladesh in 2013. Fashion Revolution plans to commemorate the victims one year on and call for industry action to create a more sustainable future for fashion.
“The tragedy in Bangladesh opened a lot of people’s eyes to the plight of people who make their clothes. Garment Printing leads the way to more sustainable fashion, giving every client the chance to choose environmentally friendly clothing, as well as organic and eco-friendly printing techniques,” continued Drake.
