Meyer Najem Construction Brings Field of Dreams to Fruition
Fishers, Indiana (PRWEB) April 21, 2014 -- As enthusiastic youngsters take to soccer and baseball fields this spring and summer, more than 1.5 million visitors will head to Grand Park, a newly opened youth sports facility in Westfield, Ind. As one of the leading construction firms in the Midwest, Meyer Najem was selected to serve as construction manager of the $45 million project.
Henke Development Group assisted the City of Westfield in assembling land package and planning the $45 million project. Covering more than 400 acres in Westfield, Ind., Grand Park is home to 31 multi-purpose fields, 26 outdoor diamonds, two indoor facilities and more than 10 miles of paved trails. An all-inclusive sports complex accommodating year-round soccer, softball, rugby, lacrosse, and football, the facility is expected to generate more than $1 billion over the course of the next five years.
Breaking ground in 2011, Meyer Najem Construction oversaw construction that includes numerous amenities that make this sports park a destination for years to come. Among those is an extensive irrigation system that will provide well-drained and green fields regardless of spring rains or summer droughts. Nine lakes, trees and hills and 4,700 parking spaces are connected by a single road that runs through Grand Park to ensure safety.
