Jessica Altman, Designer at Hatchett Design Remodel, Recently Recognized as a "30 Under 30" Award Recipient by The National Kitchen & Bath Association
Newport News, VA (PRWEB) April 22, 2014 -- Jessica Altman, Designer at Hatchett Design Remodel, has been selected as one of this year's "30 Under 30" recipients by The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA).
“We are excited to present our '30 Under 30' young professionals at KBIS 2014 for the second year in a row,” says Nancy Barnes, NKBA Director of Learning. “The program launch in 2013 was a huge success with the group, which included enthusiastic entrepreneurs, forward-thinking CEOs, and cutting-edge designers who are all still in their 20s.”
The goal of the NKBA "30 Under 30" Program is to acknowledge outstanding young professionals, while helping these individuals to immerse themselves in new opportunities for growth and development.
Jessica has been a professional in the design field since graduating from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in 2007. She graduated with a BA in Apparel, Housing and Resource Management with a focus in Kitchen and Bath Design through the NKBA accredited program. While attending Virginia Tech, Jessica was a founding member of the student NKBA chapter on campus. After graduation, Jessica joined the team at Hatchett Design/Remodel as the sole designer to a sales staff of five. She is responsible for the design, selections and ordering of materials for more than 80 projects every year.
Ever since she was a young girl, Jessica has strived to make spaces “pretty”. Through her experience at Hatchett Design Remodel, she learned that functionality of a space is just as important as its form. Jessica prides herself on creating spaces that are both beautiful and livable.
Jessica is honored by this award and says, “I believe continuing education is the key to success in this industry, and I am thrilled to be a part of this group. I am looking forward to learning from and sharing ideas with my fellow 30 under 30 members. I feel incredibly honored to have been selected.”
