Honourable Minister Dr. Seif Seleman Rashid the Minister of Health & Social Welfare Tanzania, will give the opening keynote speech at the East Africa Healthcare Summit
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 16 April 2014 -- Tanzania's Minister of Health & Social Welfare will be among the Ministers attending the East Africa Healthcare Summit to discuss increasing opportunities for Public-Private- Partnerships in East Africa.
It was confirmed today that Hon Minister Dr. Seif Seleman Rashid from the Ministry of Health, Tanzania wil be the keynote speaker at the East Africa Healthcare Summit 2014 held in Dar Es Salaam on the 1st and 2nd July. Hon Minister Dr. Seif Seleman Rashid will be accompanied by a delegation of senior Ministry representatives. The event is organised by global research organisation Oliver Kinross.
On the 1st and 2nd July in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania key figures from East Africa's growing Healthcare industry will come together for the East Africa Healthcare Summit 2014, a two day conference and exhibition packed full of presentations and topical discussions on new developments and increasing opportunities in the region. Oliver Kinross will also be hosting an exclusive networking dinner on the evening of day one of the event.
As well as the Ministry of Health in Tanzania, the Ministry of Health Burundi – Permanent Secretary Dr. Nizigiyimana Dionis and a Senior Official from the Ministry of Health Uganda will also give keynote addresses. Other high level speakers include Dr Atef El Maghraby, Chief Health Human Resources Analyst at the African Development Bank, Tunisia and Dr. Margaret Mungherera, President of the World Medical Association, Uganda.
There is a great demand for investment in Africa's healthcare sectors. Half of Africa's health products and services are delivered by the growing private sector. McKinsey & Company have reported that by 2016, healthcare in Sub-Saharan Africa is set to be worth $35 billion. The continent has seen a number of investments, recently the multinational chain of diagnostic centres - Metropolis Healthcare Ltd has announced their plans to expand its centres to Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia and Nigeria. With many international companies moving into Africa, the new East Africa Healthcare Summit will provide a dynamic platform to take part in these vital discussions.
Attending the recent Africa Healthcare Summit in London, Mr Salim Hasham, the Vice President at Aga Khan University Hospital joined us for a interview to discuss his experience at the summit.
