For many years, the firm has been led by partners Elliot D. Samuelson, Richard L. Hause and Wendy B. Samuelson. Recently, the firm has welcomed former associates Alisa J. Geffner and Carolyn D. Kersch as partners and has acquired a new associate attorney.
New Partners: Attorneys Alisa J. Geffner & Carolyn D. Kersch
Alisa Geffner first joined Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson in 2002 directly after receiving her juris doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law. Ms. Geffner’s passion is for children in family law matters. Her undergraduate degree is in psychology and she demonstrates a unique and valuable sensitivity towards child custody and parenting issues.
As a young associate with the firm, Ms. Geffner was mentored by the firm’s three partners: Elliot Samuelson, Richard Hause and Wendy Samuelson. This mentoring and guidance played a major role in her current excellence and success in litigation and dispute resolution.
Carolyn Kersch first joined the firm part-time while in her final year of law school. Upon graduating from Hofstra University School of Law with her juris doctorate, she became an associate with the firm and, like Ms. Geffner, was mentored by the firm’s three partners
Ms. Kersch earned an undergraduate degree in psychology and now strives to help clients through divorce in ways that are respectful and that protect children from emotional trauma. She is recognized for aggressive and persistent representation, as well as excellent attention and compassion toward clients.

New Associate: Nicole M. Savacchio
Samuelson, Hause & Samuelson, LLP has also acquired a new associate. Nicole M. Savacchio is a recent graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. While in law school, she demonstrated a unique ability to handle emotionally charged situations. Her law school experience included working as a mediator in the school’s Mediation Clinic, where she mediated several family-related disputes ranging from domestic violence to visitation arrangements. She also served as a teacher’s assistant to two family law classes.
