SmileCareClub this week launched an Indiegogo campaign to build awareness for its pioneering new program that straightens and whitens teeth at home.
SmileCareClub uses a series of customized invisible aligners to gradually shift teeth into place over a period of several months. The invisible aligners are created from dental impressions that the consumer makes at home, thereby avoiding costly and time-consuming trips to the orthodontist.
“We believe SmileCareClub offers a great opportunity for anybody who has always wanted a great smile, but could not afford the traditional treatments on the market,” said Doug Hudson, founder of SmileCareClub. “The consumer makes his or her dental impressions at home, and then sends the impressions to our lab. Our technicians create invisible aligners and send them directly to the consumer, at over 50% off the cost of other aligners.”
Hudson said the company chose to use an Indiegogo campaign because it offers the most direct channel for reaching tech-savvy early adopters.
“Although many companies use Indiegogo as a crowdfunding source, we’re not using this campaign to raise money,” Hudson said. “We are exploring this channel as a means to reach a specific demographic and build excitement for SmileCareClub.”
Hudson said consumers who visit the SmileCareClub Indiegogo campaign page can read more about the SmileCareClub story, and also take advantage of exclusive pricing and perks for early supporters.
