Vast Bridges Makes Largest Donation In One Spark History
Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Vast Bridges, itself a startup in 2010, is now paying it forward with a donation of $10,000 to the startup Spirit Dining, this past weekend during the Crowdfunding Festival, One Spark. This was a record high individual contribution in One Spark’s history, and helped the recipient win additional honors.
Spirit Dining was chosen as the recipient of this contribution because of the potential the company has for positively affecting a variety of other organizations. Spirit Dining is poised to revolutionize the way schools and other organizations raise funds by putting more money in their pockets (a full 70% of sale made goes to the school or organization), offering local businesses a free way to advertise and giving consumers a way to save on dining out.
States Vast Bridges founder Kevin Conner, “I discovered that Spirit Dining is built on the principle of giving and we are proud to help support schools and communities, through our support of this unique company. I began my business just a few years ago and remember vividly what a difference it makes to have people who believe in you. We are thrilled to provide that vote of confidence to a very deserving entrepreneur like Spirit Dining founder Christopher Haney.”
The recipient was thrilled with the generous donation, which allowed him to also win the coveted “Most Individual Contributions” award from One Spark, which scored Spirit Dining an additional $10,000 prize. His start-up's participation in this four-day event allowed Spirit Dining to exceed its funding goal of $20,000.
Nonprofit organization One Spark completed its second annual crowdfunding festival this past weekend with an estimated attendance of 250,000, exceeding its expectations of 150,000 visitors. The next step is its first international festival in Berlin in September, followed by the third annual festival in Jacksonville next spring. Vast Bridges is poised to be a part of One Spark 2015 in Jacksonville.
